Publications

During my time as an undergraduate, I've had the honor of having my work published by several different outlets. My work has been featured in the award-winning student newspaper, The Gargoyle, and screened at several film festivals. My publications have focused on environmental stories and personal testimonials of overcoming adversity. I want to continue working on serious topics post-graduate and continue to share stories containing impactful and timely messages.

It was an honor to have my short film, Overcoming Rough Surf, screened at the 2024 St. Auggie Shorts Film Festival. I also had the opportunity to have the story published in Flagler's student newspaper, The Gargoyle. It brought immense joy to know that her story of inspiration and hope was able to be heard by so many people.

My first exposure to the Indian River Lagoon was through hearing first-hand testimonies of how extensively the water had degraded in quality. As an avid conservationist, I knew this story was not only important but crucial in the conservation of this river. I was delighted to have it shared in The Gargoyle and bring more awareness to this important topic.

Telling Charlotte's story was one that I was honored to be trusted with. Before her transition, Flagler College student Charlotte Schneider struggled to find her fit in the world. As she embarks on her journey of womanhood, Schneider has crafted her life and is on a journey of self-discovery. Through this, she has found a supportive community and has newfound confidence to be her true self. Her story tells one of hope and acceptance. I was overjoyed that The Gargoyle published this story and I hope it can show other members of the LGBTQ+ a story of positivity in living your most authentic self.

Featured in the Flagler College's Com Weeks One-Minute Film Festival in 2023, "Do We Trust the Media" is a montage that shows the difference in ideas around the media. It explores if people trust the media and the reasoning behind their answers. Our film placed 3rd at the festival and we couldn't be more thrilled about it.
